Meet Your Instructor
Lachlan Nairn | Golf Coach
Lachlan Nairn has over 25 years of experience as a certified golf instructor and over 40 years as a player of the game. Throughout his coaching career, he has mentored with former PGA players and LPGA instructors, and spent significant time practicing with and learning from a former Olympic competitor. These experiences gave him a deep understanding of the commitment and mindset required to play at the highest levels of the game.
Now teaching at Golden Oaks, Lachlan’s coaching is built on the understanding that every golfer is unique. He specializes in tailoring the experience to the individual—whether that’s helping a senior adapt to physical changes, guiding a junior in discovering their own natural swing, or leading beginner ladies' clinics that respect different learning styles. He meets every student where they are, ensuring the environment is right for their specific goals.
Lachlan uses an adaptable system that focuses on skills-based learning rather than just the mechanics of the swing. He bases his instruction on the player's current abilities to build a game that is repeatable and effective. By combining these skills with a strong mental approach, he helps students see real progress, including seeing players move from the 90s to breaking par for the first time.
